It's Wed evening already, and i'm still recovering from the Unplugged weekend. And what a tournament the Music City Road Dogs put on! Many thanks to the Road Dogs for a great tournament, a lot of thought went into so many details. And many thanks to Marie for extending the dog-potty area to her front yard. lol
I like the new title recognition trinkets that were thoughtfully hand-painted with name, title, and date - we brought home three of the little guitars: Blue, FMX; Taz, FM; and Sophie, FDX. Sophie ran very well, running with her new friends on the Road Dogs. This was the third tournament that she actually raced, instead of running back to her crate, or just melting into a quivering puddle in the lane. Sorry about the EP's, team-mates, we got carried away a time or two. (Besides, I really believed she was getting under the laser.)
Speaking of details, whoever Jane had in charge of weather timed the rain just right: steady down-pour while I loaded our flyball stuff Sun eve, balmy sunshine while we loaded their tournament gear afterward! ;-p lol
Many thanks to all who helped us run this weekend. Janet of the Birmingham Bandits ran Taz flawlessly all weekend - that boy's got a girl in every town - Jeanne of the Bandits loaded the box for our dogs all weekend. Thank you so much!
Thank you to Brandi, our newest member, for being at the tournament, lending a helping hand where ever needed - thanks bunches! Suger did well in warmups on Sat, she is gaining confidence steadily.
And, Hey! If Kate C asks you to run Emma, and she's kinda hiding a big, mischievous grin, something _is_ up. Emma is fun to play flyball with, and it is great to have been a part (the part where all you gotta do is let go of her at the right time) of such a cool milestone. FMCh! You go, Flashy Golden Girl. Did that come out right? :-)
